By the end of this degree, students should:
a) Possess an advanced training, in the field of insular literatures and cultures;
b) Be acquainted with and master advanced research techniques and apply them to a specific study object, respecting the ethical principles which guide scientific research;
c) Have developed research and writing skills for preparing scientific papers in the field of literary and cultural studies, working autonomously;
d) Be able to set down original and quality reading proposals in their area of expertise, contributing to the development of the scientific field of the course;
e) Be able to face unexpected obstacles and situations which may occur in the course of their research and find adequate solutions for them;
f) Be able to adequately publicize the results of their research work both for specialized and non-specialized audiences.
