Objectives
Training designed in a comprehensive and interdisciplinary manner, which provides for an articulation between different scientific areas, exchange of knowledge and experiences. An attempt is made to provide trainees with knowledge, analysis and planning tools that enable them to have an enlightened, creative and competitive professional performance.
Access Requirements
Can apply:
a) Holders of a bachelor's degree or legally equivalent qualification;
b) Holders of a scientific or professional curriculum whose merit is recognized by the Scientific Council as attesting the capacity to do so.
Career Opportunities
Complete training suitable for the performance of the functions of design, planning and management of tourist products and cultural actions. It is intended for agents and entrepreneurs in the Tourism sector, such as interpreter-guides, specialized guides in Museums, Interpretation Centres and similar institutions, Agency managers and other tourism companies, as well as Heritage Technicians, from the public or private sector, and Cultural Agents.
Learning Outcomes
The following are learning objectives (knowledge, skills and competences) to be developed by students:
•Conceive, plan and implement tourist products based on cultural resources;
•Master and apply the concepts of Cultural, Creative and Sustainable Tourism;
• Develop critical and analytical interpretations of the Region's natural and cultural heritage based on acquired knowledge;
• Mastering the methods and techniques for inventorying and evaluating cultural resources, with a view to their enhancement through the organization of events consistent with the destination;
•Develop, in an innovative way, information, promotion and marketing tools;
•Understand the dynamics of tourist consumption of cultural products and adapt their communication to different audiences;
•Reveal an active participation in the management of the territory, in the preservation of heritage assets and in the construction of the quality of the landscapes.
